ABOUT THE COACH MENTORING INTENSIVE


This 3 month Intensive includes:

Group Mentor Coaching - 7 hours

Individual Mentor Coaching - 3 hours

Buddy coaching – 3 times (once in your individual mentor session)

Focus: Self-awareness of the coach and coaching skills to move to a higher level of coaching skills.

Each participant will coach once in the group and once in an individual session. The participants will receive verbal and written evaluations to enhance your mastery as a coach. The focus will be on your strengths and suggested ways to develop your skillful use of each ICF core competence.

Group calls - 1 hour each beginning Wednesday, September 3rd at 1 PM ET, 6 PM UTC, and every 2 weeks following (until November).

(Each call will include at least one coaching session and a brief review of the ICF Core Competencies)

· Group calls will be recorded – also the individual call where you coach

· Learn from and with coaching colleagues.

· Grow one another as coaches

· The group will be limited to 10 participants

· The cost for the Coach Mentoring Intensive is $1500. (payment plan available).

Dr. Larry Ousley

Dr. Larry Ousley is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Larry has advanced training in Organization & Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC) and, he is one of a few hundred Certified ORSC coaches in the world.  Also, Larry has specialized training in group coaching. He is an ordained Elder in the Holston Conference in the United Methodist Church (UMC) and is one of about 25 persons endorsed as a life coach by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the UMC.  Recently, he was trained by GBOD as a Path1 coach for church planters. Also, Larry directs and teaches within a Satellite Program of Coaching4Clergy, which is credentialed as an ACTP coaching school with the ICF. Larry is a faculty member and a mentor coach for this international coaching school.  Additionally, Larry has 40 years experience as a coach, consultant, seminar leader and United Methodist minister.  He brings to his work his life experiences, including pastoral care and spiritual formation, coaching, his own spiritual journey, and a passion for persons living “fully alive” as effective and fulfilled leaders.

Presently Larry serves as the Executive Director of the Intentional Growth Center (IGC) at Lake Junaluska, NC. Before coming to IGC thirteen years ago, Larry served as senior pastor of three large churches with over 1000 members and on the conference staff in the Holston Conference of the UMC. Larry is married to Darlene Saunders Ousley who also is a certified life coach working as the “wellness coach” for a large corporation. Both Larry and Darlene received their initial coach training and certification through the Coaches Training Institute.   At the Intentional Growth Center, Dr. Ousley plans and leads approximately 60 seminars per year involving about 2,500 participants. Also, he works with approximately 50 clients per year coaching them as individuals, groups, relationships, teams, or organizations. Larry has coached managers and leaders at various levels including an operations manager for a Honda dealership, middle managers of large organizations, several teams of persons leading large institutions, clergy, six church staffs, seven church leadership teams, several entrepreneurial leaders, and an attorney. Also, as a specialist in group coaching, in the last several years he has led eight groups with District Superintendents and four major group coaching projects with about 10 pastors in each. One of the latter was the basis for a chapter in a book that Larry co-authored—Ministry 3.0.

Larry is wise, creative, and intelligent having studied mathematics, physics, computer science, group dynamics, and systems theory before training through seminary education (Emory University) to become a United Methodist minister. He later completed a Doctorate of Ministry (Vanderbilt University) focusing on organizational development and leadership as applied to the church. Further, Dr. Ousley has taught several seminars training persons to employ coaching skills in their life and work.
